What is the relevance

Relevance – it is an accordance of the meaning of asked question to the meaning of the given answer on it.

It is needed to be understood, that to talk about 100% of relevancy is pointless: the relevance relates to the meaning of the request and to the meaning of the document by itself, and therefore it is subjective thing, depending on the views of the individual user: after all anyone can understand the meaning of the same text in different ways.

The concept of relevance has been widely used in connection with a computer search, as well as the fact that the search robotos often show results, which is not even close to what can be the answer to the asked question from the human point of view. In the case with person it is extremely rare to get wrong answer on the correct asked question. People will be more surely answer that they can’t find anything or will ask to clarify the question, the computer will just catch any word and show the real nonsense.
