FASQu combines conventional ideology of search queries, as in conventional search engines, with the answers in the form of online bookmarks, which are created by experts. Experts guarantees incomparably greater relevance of given search results than search engines.
Low relevancy – is irremovable lack of automated search engines. It is because the computer systems (artificial intelligence), in principle are not able to understand the meaning of the text. This is a fundamental limit, which has a strict mathematical basis, it is even more stringent restriction than the assertion that it was impossible to build a perpetual motion.
The leading search engines, in order to improve the quality of search, is trying as with crutches for legless invalids to complement its mechanical search with expert human:
- Google has announced the launch of a new type of Internet search, which is called wiki-search or customized search.
- Microsoft has opened free access to its social search tool - SearchTogether.
- Yahoo! supports its bookmark service – Delicious.
Our service is deferent from the above that the experts are not a supplement which have to fix the results of the search, but the foundation of search engine and can build its own independent business, participating in the development of the system.
FASQu produces accounting of expert contribution to the development of the system, expressed as a rating. Experts rating defines the procedure of issuing the search results. The owners of web-sites have only one way to ensure that resources will be shown on the front pages of the search results: apply to an expert for to describe the site and add it in FASQu. In which conditions the expert will agree to do that will be depend on agreement between the expert and the advertiser.
